c0rni Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hello,I've got a domain home.local and all my computers are on this domain. I've got one laptop and I want to share a folder on it, so I've done it like I always did but it doesn't work. I can't access to the share from any computer of the domain. It's a windows XP with SP2 laptop, I've authorized a specific user with all rights but when I try to access this share from another workstation (using the specific user login/password) it doesn't work.I really don't understand why, it works on every other PC it's except this laptop.
rion Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 In the access control list, is it a local user that you have allowed access rights or is it a domain user?
tguy Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 You may need to config. the firewall on XP SP2 to allow file sharing as well. Ports may be blocked.
