Boot screen for xp sp2

hi im new here

recently ive been trying to create a custom bootscreen using photoshopCS. i have seen the tutorial in themexp.org and many other sites including the one from The Screen Saver.

none of them seem to work. the 16.ACT file i downloaded from the Themexp.org tutorial

does not work in photoshop.

basically my question is

1) how do i add palletes in photoshopCS

2) Can some one tell me where to get the Pallete

3) has XP sp2 changed how ntoskrnl works from other xp's

4) where can i get a tutorial for this
