Hi !

Forgive me for my awful english...I'm french (nobody is perfect).

I'm trying to collect many informations on web sites (french or not) to make

an unattend installation of my xp with sp2.

I've seen on many forum topics, in the section [components], a line:

msmsgs= off, to disable windows messenger.

But when i search this line in the ref.chm help provided with the deployment tools

i do not find it.

I tried to find it also ine the ref. chm files provided with the XP original version

and the XP SP1 version and i don't find anything about this.

Is there some sections or entries not documented in ref. chm ?

Another thing is not very clear for me: Is it possible to know if disabling

an component in the winnt.sif file means the component will be installed BUT NOT

enabled or not installed at all (for example for the firewall or for services i don't need).

If someone is able to understand my english and bring me some light...

Thanks.

Your correct messenger isn't noted anywhere in ref.chm.

I think there some things missing in ref.chm and also some explanations of things aren't very clear as well.

If you use OEaccess=Off, OutlookExpress is still installed, but visibility points are not applied.

Ditto for the Firewall and IE

Hope that helps
