Some question about W2K update

At first,I'm sorry my english is very bad. But I need your help.I hope people can understand what I say.

When I reinstall Windows 2000. I need online update to update Win 2000.But now I want not to do that ago ,Because it costs meny time. So ,I get the update packages with Windows update.The question is how can I install the packages in sequence?The date of digital signature? I was tried meny time,but the feelling not right.

you do NOT have to install in a certain sequence.

install them in ANY order you want, and then run QCHAIN.EXE from Microsoft.

the operating system will figure out the most recent file dates to use.

so if one hotfix replaces a file, and another one replaces the same file again, Windows will use the one with the higher version / date stamp.
