Via Raid Ruining Slipstream Discs

I'm trying to make a slipstream disc from my Windows XP home oem disc and the full SP2 download. My motherboard is an Asus A8v with an Athlon 64 3500. Raid is disabled but I have 2 SATA drives on the VIA raid controller.

If I create a slipstream disc (with no drivers added) by either updating or integrating, upon booting everything seems fine until setup reaches viaraid in the driver load and then I get the message, "The file \x64\viasraid.sys is corrupted.

Press any key to continue" After pressing a key everything goes fine (albeit my drives are not accessable without SATA drivers).

I want an error free install. I've burned about six discs with and without drivers. The discs with SATA drivers will either get the same error message yet permit me to fully install windows, or I'll see "File \x64\viasraid.sys could not be loaded. Error code is 4" (and setup fails).

Where is this \64 directory coming from? I've even tried removing all traces of the raid drivers from txtsetup.sif. No matter what I try the viasraid.sys file pops up and gives an error message. How do I make a disc that gets me into the repair console or setup routine without pausing or failing?

Once again- I can make a functional slipstream disc that lets me fix or install windows, I just can't make one that doesn't require intervention.
