autologon and winnt.sif issues

Featured Replies

I have searched for autologon but I can't find anything that helps me.

For some reason my winnt.sif does not do the autologon and it also doesn't join the domain anymore if the machine is on the network. It used to join, but now it does not. I have never been able to autologon.

Everything else works perfectly.

thanks!

Your password is encrypted. Auto logon does not work with this option.

you know.... I had thought about that. But I had seen other people's winnt.sif files and they had it. I believe you and I will try it tomorrow.

Thanks!

Yea, I had tried it at one point as well and I was also wondering why I was having this problem. I had read someplace on the Microsoft site that encrypt password does not work with auto logon. Fixed my issue right away after the change.

Hope it helped!
