Powerhouse Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 So after searching through hundreds of threads, I have yet to see a Registry setting (or any setting for that matter), to choose a screen saver. Does anyone have the tweak to set this up?
prathapml Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 The best way is to set that from a Theme.Go here:"C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes" - and edit "Luna.theme" with notepad. You need to look at modifying these lines:[boot]SCRNSAVE.EXE=%WinDir%\System32\logon.scrSave it as "yourfilename.theme" and put it on your uA CD in this folder:"$OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes\"Then, you need to put this in your winnt.sif:[Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%systemroot%\Resources\Themes\filename.theme"So yeah, that's all there is to it. No unecessary regtweaks - although it does exist.
DarkBringer Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 The tweak is:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]"SCRNSAVE.EXE"="C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\3DWIND~1.SCR"(The filename should be in 8.3 format.)
