emun Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 I uinstalled office XP, because outlook 2002 could not be configured correctly. However the registry entries related to outlook are not deleted as a result after re-installing officwe xp and trying to configure outlook I am running into problems. I do not see the Inbox in the right folder and no email can be received. If i delete the outlook folder after getting in there with regedit32 will that cause problem? Then I plan to re-install office xp. Please someone respond quickly. Many thanks! in advance.
oftentired Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 You should be able to use System Restore after uninstalling to successfully revert the registry back to the state before it was installed. This may be problematic if the installation was some time ago.
firefoxthebomb Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 it probably would not cause a problem, especially if you are going to reinstall it afterwards. You should try office 2003 instead. Also make sure you backup your registry before you go deleting stuff from it.
