Dialup password

ok..im posting here cause i need a quick response

ive got a friend who just upgraded to xp home

he connects using dialup

when if he chooses save password on the dialup box it will save..but it encrypts the password (so it seems) and when he connects it wont use that password

if he chooses not to save and just enters the password when he logs on its fine

any ideas as to why it encrypts? i tried creating a dialup account on my computer and it encrypts it too

problem solved (it was a fluke problem..not sure why it wasnt working)
