Okkine Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Hello, I have recently began trying to create boot screens. They have worked fine, except for the fact that windows keeps applying the color pallett that goes with the default boot screen rather than using the pallet from the new .bmp. I have tried saving the .bmp from other boot screens and trying them in a new one with the same results. From what I have read, the color pallet is loaded from a different location. Is there any way to have windows not load that pallet? Thanks,~Steve~
VTMan Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 you have to open ntoskrnl.exe with a hex editor and modify it there.go here for more infohttp://www.geocities.com/thejjoelc/XPbootcolors.html
