prathapml Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Some say the position of the blocks will make a difference...So to check on that - you have specified MSN zone games to not be installed, is that working? If not, then try moving the [components] block to above the [iepopupblocker] block. Atleast, that's how I have it and it works.... dunno...
alcatel0099 Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 the msmgs=off , I've found does NOTHING. You actually have to remove the INF. Use nLite, or open up sysoc.inf in your I386 folder, and put a ; infront of the line with the Msmgs INF file listed.I used this way to remove MSN messenger 4.7 in my XP SP1aBut when XP is installing, there is a error message says that "can not find msgrocm.dll" . Is there any thing I forget to do when I edit sysoc.inf?
prathapml Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Which is why... editing the sysoc.inf is better avoided. This much is quite sufficient, why make things complicated....[Components] msmsgs=off WMAccess=off

But it did not work. XP still install MSN 4.7 link.I'm trying to check the file modified by the nLite, see what it does toremove the MSN 4.7
