Ku®t Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Couple of questions1. Is it possible to include to Sata drivers so I dont need a floppy drive & press F6 but continue Xp installation as normal (not unattended)?2. Is it better to slipstream SP2 from a original Xp cd or a SP1 slipstreamed cd?
prathapml Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 1. Yes, SATA and RAID drivers (for which you use the floppy) can be integrated.See this thread for details - the driver-pack. Or you can also get nLite to integrate your SATA drivers, but that's a possibly imperfect solution.2. If you slip-stream SP2 into Original XP CD, you will see less bugs, and also less total size. So that is the better option.Slip-streaming SP2 into an SP1 CD is not bad, but that can have more problems, and also, the resulting CD (installation files) can be larger by about 20-30 MB.
