How to Reset Folder - "These Files are Hidden" ?

Featured Replies

The OEM condition of viewing a system folder in Explorer is a screen with the message:

These files are hidden.

This folder contains files that keep your system working properly. You should not modify its contets.

I had to display the contents of Windows\System32 to modify a file.

How do I reset the folder to again show the warning message?

Thanks!

In the Common Tasks window to the left, there is an option to "Hide the contents of this folder". If you do not have Common Tasks enabled, simply enable them, make the changes, then disable it again.

I have the common tasks option on - but don't see any option to hide the contents of the folder...

Is there another setting I need to verify?
