Spinman Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 With the advent of large hard drive capacity - I always copy my I386 folder from the CD to my HardDisk and edit the registry to point to C:\I386 for installation data.Just wondering - do I need to include any/all of the sub-folders (ie: AMS, COMPDATA, DRW, Lang, System32, win9xmig, win9xupg, win9upg) or will the root directory be enough when searching for drivers????
firefoxthebomb Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 I do the same, but I never copy the sub folders. Have not had a use for them, the sub folders are for use when upgrading an install i believe.
Astalavista Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 it is the same w U A xp cd. no need for those subfolders.
