Unattended Upgrade from Windows 2000 to XP via CD

OK...I have several 2000 machines that I want to UPGRADR to XP. I want to be able to run the upgrade by putting a Slipstreamed XP SP2 CD in the CD-ROM and want to do it unattended.

I slipstreamed SP2 into XP. I created and answer file and renamed it .sif. I burned all contents to a CD. When I boot to Win2k and put the CD in and choose upgrade, it does not do in unattended.

Can this be done?

CDROM:\i386\winnt32.exe /unattend from the command line.

Replace CDROM with the appropriate drive letter.

/unattend

Upgrades your previous version of Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000 in unattended Setup mode. All user settings are taken from the previous installation, so no user intervention is required during Setup.

No answer file is required for this. If you do specify an answer file with the /unattend switch, it will do a fresh install so do not specify an answer file if you want to keep the original 2000 settings.

winnt32.exe /? for other command line options.

OK, If I use the unattend switch, wouldn't the XP install ask for a S/N?
