Installing Server 2003 over top XP Pro

Ok something went extremely wrong when I tried to install Windows server 2003 on my box. I started out with Win XP Pro installed, I inserted the Server 2003 CD rebooted, chose the option to delete the partition, recreated a new one started the Server 2003 install and after it finished my PC rebooted then prompted me to boot up with Win 2003 Server or XP Pro. Out of curiosity I booted into XP to see if it was still there and sure enough it was. OK fine, after playing with Server 2003 for a while I decided I want to install it on a box all to it's self.

I would like to know how I can remove Windows Server 2003 without removing Win XP Pro and losing other data that I might need.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Thank you,

Guy

You had to have installed it on a different partition, otherwise Win2K3 would have over written all the XP files. Find the location of Win2K3 and delete the files and folders. Edit your boot.ini and remove the entry for Win2K3.
