ravashaak
Before I go spewing possibilities, what exactly do you mean when you say "contact"? - Ravashaak
kidem
Is there a trust issue...not sure if this applies but kind of seems like one way trust....but this is a issue with two diff domains....
ravashaak
Do both domain controllers have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled? Some general troubleshooting advice: 1. Thoroughly review the event logs on each DC.2. Test connectivity by pinging each dc from the other one.3. Perform an nslookup on each DC for the other DC.4. Run dcdiag and netdiag on each DC.5. Run ipconfig /all on each DC.6. Other stuff, depending on results from above tests. - Ravashaak
Br4tt3
Yup, I agree....Sort out your naming of the DC and domain through use of nslookup to eliminate DNS missconfiguration.DCdiag and NetDiag are great in these circumstances.
turbomcp
stop start netlogon to make sure the trust is working fine on both dc's if you dont see any warnings or errors after you did that then trust is not the problemi am 90% sure its dns issue(like most issues when multiple domains are involved)what are the connections between the two domains in terms of dns?does every domain hold its own A.D integrated dns?does each of them have secondary zone for the other domain?is there delegation of the child domain in parent?give us some info
