Do both domain controllers have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled?

Some general troubleshooting advice:

1. Thoroughly review the event logs on each DC.

2. Test connectivity by pinging each dc from the other one.

3. Perform an nslookup on each DC for the other DC.

4. Run dcdiag and netdiag on each DC.

5. Run ipconfig /all on each DC.

6. Other stuff, depending on results from above tests.

stop start netlogon to make sure the trust is working fine on both dc's if you dont see any warnings or errors after you did that

then trust is not the problem

i am 90% sure its dns issue(like most issues when multiple domains are involved)

what are the connections between the two domains in terms of dns?

does every domain hold its own A.D integrated dns?

does each of them have secondary zone for the other domain?

is there delegation of the child domain in parent?

give us some info
