absolu7 Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 i wanted to run office 2k install right after the installation of windows 2000, is this possible? bat file or ?Thanks in advance
prathapml Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Yes, just use the standard batch-file.Where you'll have a problem though, is to fit both win2k and o2k on one CD (if you install from CD).The switch is "/QB". The first time you start any app from the suite, it will ask you for the key. Sufficiently unattended for office2k - OXP and O2k3 have more advanced unattending features.
absolu7 Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 thanks for the reply!i wasnt planning on putting o2k on the same disk, ill put it on another disk.how would the bat file call after install of win2k for the office 2k cd?
prathapml Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 how would the bat file call after install of win2k for the office 2k cd?That is really the problem (which we try to avoid by putting everything on 1 CD). Its not easy to automate the "2nd CD" feature. This topic has more details - how to do a 2 CD install
prathapml Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 One thing you might consider, is to look up these two topics in the forums:Office Shrinker - herenLite - here (slim down your OS install source).Using those 2 sources for reference, you might be able to fit both on a single CD. Lots of people have done it before, so there isn't really a reason why you can't do it.
