uninstall .NET Framework 1.1: how?

Hi,

a few months ago I downloaded & installed .NET Framework on my XP notebook. At first no problems, but for the couple of months my notebook more or less freezes for ages when I access the Internet (- if I start Task Manager beforehand I can see that some process seeems to be polling). My firewall (Zone Alarm) shows no Internet activity or attempts to access the Internet, and the PC just doesn´t respond to, say, a click on the Start bar. Eventually it unfreezes and all thos stored-up clicks are executed...

Anyway, I suspect .NET right now (no idea why I installed it anyway!), and want to uninistall it - but cannot. The problem is similar to that described in Microsoft´s Knowledge Base Article 320474.

The fix described there doesn't work though - I´ve extracted a new download of dotnetfx.exe into a directory, but the f**king uninstaller maintains that this is an invalid installation package.

Anyone able to help??

Welcome, and nice french!

I have found sometimes that instead of replacing the one file, to ensure your logged in as the admin user, that installed the program and do a full re-install of said program, including same options etc

Fo a clean reboot so all dll and reg keys are registered properly.

Log back in as that same admin user and then do an un-install.
