I have tried to migrate my files and settings from windows 98SE to windows XP, but I didn't see these files !

I found a file of the type img*.dat

Could this be the image of what I was trying to migrate?

How to open it?

Just pop in your XP disk, choose upgrade and all your settings and user will be saved and imported to XP after the install is done. Im not sure if thats what you were looking for... :)
