Rebuilding Icon Cache from Command Line?

Featured Replies

Mjello,

is this possible?

I want to rebuild XP's icon cache, after having used Replacer to overwrite shell32.dll etc... It would be the very last thing that my XP install needs...

The reason for wanting to do this is that not all icons are updated after Replacer does it's thing, icons like the harddisks, cdrom drives etc... If I run Icon Phile or TweakUI and choose 'rebuild icon cache', everything's dandy...

But it would be nice to do it automatically at the end of the install routine...

So, any ideas? Couldnt' find much in the forum search... =/
