daveJay Posted July 8, 2004 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Hi there, I need some help if you can, I have just got a NEW K8V SE Deluxe mobo and an AMD64 3000 CPU. But after setting it all up.....on boot up I am given the message."System failed CPU test" I reseated the Cpu which was fine but got the same message.I told Ebuyer (where i got the bits) and they said send the CPU back,but is it that's whats wrong?Please help Dave.Jay Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gameadict Posted July 16, 2004 Share Posted July 16, 2004 It sure sounds like a bad processor.Of course I am assuming that you have properly attached a heatsink and fan using a good thermal compound or thermal pad??BTW that is the exact setup I am running on my new gaming rig and I absolutely love it!!
