buggas Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Hello, I'm a french user and it's the best forum I found...My questions are : Is there an option to format drive c: during unattended install (or berfore) because I would like to install XP on an empty drive. and what's the command line I've to run on dos prompt to do this.Thanks.
GreenMachine Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Bienvenue, buggas! There is not, as such, a FORMAT option in Windows Setup. There is an AutoPartition option that will repartition, then format, your disk. More information is in REF.CHM from the DEPLOY.CAB file on your Windows CD.
buggas Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 thanks a lot, I've just red it and I saw the command "repartition" too, I think I will test it soon...Do you think it's good too ?
GreenMachine Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 I don't like it: it destroys all the data that may be on the disk, and I partition my disk. However, and thank God, not everyone is like me ... If you are sure you have no data to loose, and yuo want a 1 partition disk, this should be fine for you.
