Hi I seem to be able to activate the above only with screensaver disabled. I had it setup like this. 10min of idle - Screensaver activates, 20min of idle - Monitor switches off.

What happens is this, screensaver comes on as expected but thats the end. Monitor doesn't switch off. If I disable Screensaver, Monitor switches off as expected. Same with default nvidia drivers & the current 20.81

Any ideas why?

Geforce 2 Ultra + Sony G500 21" Monitor

The Power Management section of my BIOS has an option for resuming from Power Save / Standby mode if monitor activity is detected. You might have the same kind of option enabled in yours perhaps? It's disabled in the BIOS and the screen is powered down like it supposed to regardless of the screen saver activity.
