Well, I got here a very weird installation issue:

I packaged a DVD for unattended installation of windows xp with slipstreamed SP1 like it is presented on msfn.org. When I load the final ISO into VMWare for testing purposes, everything works fine. Then I burn it on DVD, starting the setup and it fails.

The funny thing is, the reason for setup to cancel is different every time: Sometimes it says "vga.sys corrupted", then setup manages to finish the hardware procedure and stops during the copying of files like for example "mprapi.dll" oder "notepad.exe". It is absolutely random, and with every new DVD I get new missing or corrupted files.

I'm using Nero 6 and a Lite-On DVD-Burner LDW-411S.

I wasted a lot of DVDs already, so if someone has a clue on this might be very helpful.

Thx.

Finally I managed to figure it out by myself:

It seems that Nero 6 has some serious problems in writing ISOs correctly. I tried CloneDVD instead and afterwards the installation went through smoothly.
