nightraven
First of all thanks to all for the site MSFN getting started unattended xpThis was a break through for me. Slipstreaming, winnt.sif etc...Now I can start experimenting with tweaks... and may be office slipstreaming. But first I would like to be able to install an xp OS via my RIS server 2003.I can already do this the attended way but I would like it to be installed just like my new cd unattended. How should i do that ?Sorry if it is somewhere on your site, but I gave up. gtaa12
The Principles that are used in the unattended CD are almost identicle in RIS. The $OEM$ goes in the same directory as the i386 folder does and all of the files that the CD installation initialises are the same for RIS. (comands.txt and so-on except svcpack.inf)All that happens when you give the RIS server the CD is that it is copied to the server and a standard .sif file is created one the server under the %image name%Templates folder.
