It works for like 2 years but for the last 3 or 4 days it is not working. Gosh, i love my quicklaunch toolbar so much, but now hating it cuz i have to right click for it to show up everytime i start window. please help!!!
Ideas Man Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Try adding it via the taskbar properties screen. Should not make a difference but it may. You can do this by right-clicking the taskbar and clicking properties and add it that way.
leonsound Posted May 30, 2004 Author Posted May 30, 2004 Thanks, but i did try that a gizilion times already.
Ideas Man Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Well, you could try deleting your registry information in your profile. If you delete the NTUSER.DAT, NTUSER.POL and NTUSER.DAT.LOG files, Windows will recreate your registry information and it should fix your problem, but beware, it may create a new profile for you or cause some other problem. You cannot delete while you are logged on and if you do attempt this approach, create a backup copy just incase.
leonsound Posted May 31, 2004 Author Posted May 31, 2004 WOW that is risky!!!! is there a safter way, if not you sure it works. I just worry that it may not fix the problem and it may even pop up more problems
Ideas Man Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 I'd say you'd be right, you shouldn't loose your data, if you simply copy the account folder to something like usernamea or something, then delete the files and logon you should be right. If it creates a new account folder, you can easily just delete the two old ones, logon again and copy the data back, but it's up to you, that's what I'd do.
