Here is my question : can someone explain how the HKCurrentUser works ? actually, I repacked an installation of client acces express (AS400 client) into a MSI file with the soft of Veritas (freeware)I can have a look to the registry key set up with the program : there is many HKCU key. The trouble is that after the installation of the software, I have to make the configuration stuff. All those stuff go into the HKCU hive. I switch the loggued user trying to merge the registry file. But nothing was set in the registry in the HKCU ...If I understand what it is explained in the (very good) site, I would have to make the HKCU merge directly during the install in the cmdlines.txt file. Is it possible to make MSI install from there ?Thx for your help !!!!Raphael.
May 28, 200422 yr Dont quote me on this, but i think that the HKCU thing comes from HKUSERS\Somthing..... So HKCU is loaded from HKUSERS every time a new person logs on..^^ This is how it works in windows PE anyway..Chris.
