I have been looking around for help for a few weeks now! The Manufacturer(s) haven't been much help so far. I have a new Western Digital SATA 250 GB hard drive. This is the only drive in my new machine. The ATA/RAID controller sees it, but windows 2000 pro does not! I think my windows disk is only SP1. I press F6 and load the 3rd party drivers (HighPoint 374 ATA/RAID controller) and shortly after that windows tells me that "Setup cannot continue" or "Disk I/O error: 0000BB01". I've tried the recovery console, but no luck. I must have tried dozens of things so far. Nothing has worked. Here's my setup:

Mainboard Abit AT7-Max2 (HighPoint 374 ATA/RAID controllers)

WD2500 ATA Hard Drive

Windows 2000 pro SP1

AMD 2800+ CPU

Corsair 512KB PC 3200

Compaq 8mb GPU

I'm just about at the end of my rope on this one! LOL :)
