aquaboxs Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 (edited) (I'm posting this Windows XP topic, because Whistler from XP is actual beta.) Hello all! I'm new at MSFN actually. So I patched setupapi.dll from Windows Whistler build 2419, thanks to George King for writing setupapi.dll patch. I look for things that NT5.CAT is not signed or valid. Here is the error I screenshot this: Any fixes for patching unsigned NT5.CAT? but, Thanks in advance. EDIT: I don't change time and date either, but I removed timebomb from SETUPREG.HIV. un user Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Describe what and where you have patched. 1
WS7_6608 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Well, most people think that setting BIOS dates on pre-Vista betas are required just because of timebomb. That's not true actually. Signatures of catalog files are expired, that's why you get the error. You can install any XP/2K3 build on current date (regardless of timebomb) as long as the certificates are valid. There are evaluation versions of Windows XP RTM which can be installed on the current date.
