Last Version Of Steam On Windows 8.1?

as support is being dropped for windows 7/8.1 what is the last version of steam that would still be compatible with windows 8.1? there has not been any information regarding this and it would be much appreciated if anyone could help with this

And there also hasn't been any information about last version of Steam for XP and Vista at that time when Valve announced EoS date of Steam for XP and Vista.

But that's not what I meant. What I meant was, when Valve announced their EoS date of Steam for XP and Vista, there was also no information about what is the last version compatible with XP and Vista. There was no option, but to wait.

Sorry, I meant that Valve won't say the last version, the last Steam version for 7 and 8.1 would need to be archived, which I predict its release would be at around November or December.

Exactly! I am sure that the last Steam version for 7 and 8.1 will be archived by people, just like last Steam version for XP and Vista has been archived by people.
