Backup Macbook data to Windows server 2012 R2 and setup remote access

Hi all,

 

I have recently inherited a windows server 2012 r2. I would like to use this to backup my Macbook and to access it remotely from wherever I want. I want to use this opportunity to learn since I don't have much experience with Windows Server

Any help or pointers will be GREATLY appreciated..

1. What all services and roles I need to install on the server

2. How do I backup the Mac to the Windows server

3. How do I create the remote access...

4. Any other things I should keep in mind??
