Alcatel Speedtouch USB Drivers

Recommended Posts

Hey all, infrequent poster here!

Slipstreamin going well, got it updated and installing all my stuff nicely - ain't it nice to boot into it, it's a feeling of "aaah"....anyway yeah the title! Anyone know how to add the drivers to the CD so it will be installed without needing to run setup? Alternatively if I run setup anyone know the command switch to get it silent and where should I do it seen as USB needs to be up and running as well as it finding the item.

On a windows installation where you haven't yet installed the SpeedTouch Software

run setup.exe -R

At the end of the installation, you will find a setup.iss file in the %WINDIR%

It's the silent response file for installshield installer.

for silent installation, run setup.exe -s from a folder where you have all the setup files + setup.iss file

data1.cab

data1.hdr

data2.cab

ikernel.ex_

inactive.bmp

layout.bin

logo.bmp

setup.bmp

setup.exe

setup.ini

setup.inx

setup.iss

setup.log (not sure that this file already exists before running setup.exe)

usbmodem.bmp

Don't plug the USB modem during unattended installation.

You should plug it only at the end of the unattended windows installation.

Otherwise, Windows PnP detection routines will claims for the driver not already copied.

The same apply to all InstallShield packages
