W2K3, AVI Codec problem.

Hi,

I have configured W2K3 as a workstation following various guides online, but unfortunately I am unable to play .avi files. I have enabled all relative acceleration modes, installed the latest DX 9.0b , and have also tried installing all current Microsoft Codec packs to no avail.

If anyone has any idea's , it would be much appreciated.

AVIs are commonly encoded in DivX or XviD these days, and Microsoft don't hold the codecs to these.

Try giving the DivX codec a go at http://www.divx.com/divx/
