verpies
What tools / options can be used to change the Windows Installation Directory before/during Windows7 x64 deployment from a DVD or USB stick onto a HardDrive?NOTE: The Windows Installation Directory is where Windows7 is installed (a.k.a. WinDir) - not where Windows7 installs programs after its deployment (a.k.a.: ProgramFilesDir) !!!The original Windows7 x64 setup DVD installs the system files into \Windows and \Windows\System32... etc... and gives me no choice about it - this is simply unacceptable !!!I must be able to change the Windows Directory to e.g. \CustomWinDir\*... etc...P.S.Please do not ask me "why". It's an off-topic and a useless moot question. Also, please don't reply that it is impossible to alter the name of this directory before/during installation. I will never believe in such cop-out. If there is no open option to do this, then the INF files can always be edited and binary executables patched, reg hives edited, WIM directories renamed...
