dweebur2
I'm trying to record TV programs directly onto a removable thumb drive via Windows Media Center. Removable drives do not seem to show up as a possible location choice for recording in the settings area. I've looked into as many possible changes I could make with none of them working. I even looked into using Lexar Bootit to change the drive from removable to fixed but it did not work with my particular flash drive. If anyone has anyway around this it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance..
uid0
You could try formatting it NTFS then using a junction, but you'd probably find thumb drives aren't an option because they're not fast enough to keep up, and would wear out quickly if they were.Couldn't you just copy files to it after recording?Alternatively, you might find mediaportal is more flexible.
