jpbabou Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Hii have a freeze of my computer after the boot.i have installed Windows SDK et Latencymon.: congratulations to magicandre concerning the topic on the use of SKD!!!i see high cpu consumption on nvlddmkm.sys: all my Video driver for a Nvidia GT6600 are up to date: nvlddmkm.sys - NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 285.62 , NVIDIA Corporation...what to do to avoid this ?what is funny is that: after the feeze.. all seems to be OK execpt the permanent Highest DPC routine on this driver all daylong!!!i can't upload the trace.. tto big !
MagicAndre1981 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 try older versions, too and check that the graphic card doesn't share a IRQ with other devices.
jpbabou Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 tks a lot for your advicei think that you're right (one more time)there are conflicts: (so i think!) with IRQ from 16 to 19il will try i to reload the bios with the defaults..IRQ 16 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCI OKIRQ 16 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCI OKIRQ 16 NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) OKIRQ 18 Contrôleur hôte PCI vers USB standard étendu OKIRQ 18 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCI OKIRQ 19 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCI OKIRQ 19 Contrôleur IDE standard double canal PCI OKIRQ 19 Contrôleur IDE standard double canal PCI OKIRQ 19 Pont Intel® 82801 PCI - 244E OKPort d’E/S 0x00000000-0x0000000F Contrôleur d’accès direct en mémoirePort d’E/S 0x00000000-0x0000000F Bus PCIPort d’E/S 0x000003C0-0x000003DF Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIPort d’E/S 0x000003C0-0x000003DF NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)IRQ 12 Contrôleur vidéoIRQ 12 Contrôleur PCI de communications simplifiéesIRQ 16 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIIRQ 16 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIIRQ 16 NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)Adresse mémoire 0xD0000000-0xDFFFFFFF Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIAdresse mémoire 0xD0000000-0xDFFFFFFF NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)IRQ 18 Contrôleur hôte PCI vers USB standard étenduIRQ 18 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIIRQ 19 Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIIRQ 19 Contrôleur IDE standard double canal PCIIRQ 19 Contrôleur IDE standard double canal PCIIRQ 19 Pont Intel® 82801 PCI - 244EAdresse mémoire 0xA0000-0xBFFFF Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIAdresse mémoire 0xA0000-0xBFFFF Bus PCIAdresse mémoire 0xA0000-0xBFFFF NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)Port d’E/S 0x000003B0-0x000003BB Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIPort d’E/S 0x000003B0-0x000003BB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)Adresse mémoire 0xF8000000-0xFAFFFFFF Pont PCI vers PCI standard PCIAdresse mémoire 0xF8000000-0xFAFFFFFF NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)Port d’E/S 0x00000290-0x0000029F Ressources de la carte mèrePort d’E/S 0x00000290-0x0000029F Ressources de la carte mère
MagicAndre1981 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 hmm, I can't see a conflict. try the inbox driver ("C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_nv_lh.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_4a5c7d78e486512b\) and capture a new trace. You can compress the file as 7z/RAR and upload it to mediafire.com. YOu can send me the link so that I can look at it.
jpbabou Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 First of all tks a lot for your implication...i have unplug my video card/ clear my cmos.. still problem.be4 you answer me i have done a lot of drivers/ chipset update.. so i'm not sure that the trace is ok..i'm ready to start all over again..Format+ new windows 7 install please let me know wich step do u want me to do.. before taking new traces
MagicAndre1981 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 use the inbox driver because MS provides Debug data for the driver.Run this command:xperf -start perf!GeneralProfiles.InBuffer && timeout -1 && xperf -stop perf!GeneralProfiles.InBuffer nVIDIA_issues.etlCompress the nVIDIA_issues.etl (only this file) and upload it.
jpbabou Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 excsue me but what do u mean by 'inbox drivers'
MagicAndre1981 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 the nVIDIA driver which is part of Windows 7

MagicAndre1981 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 which issue do you have? I see no nvlddmkm.sys DPC / Interrupt issue.

MagicAndre1981 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) Why don't you use the buildin GPU (Intel HD 2000 which is embedded into your Intel i3) ?btw have you have made a trace which captured the issue? Edited February 20, 2012 by MagicAndre1981
