Strange Windows Update problem with clean install!

KB2511455 update always fails on the first time, with 80080005! Why does it always go like nothing happened when I tell Windows Update to install it again after reboot?

And I also got a search result saying bull about missing files or malware. ( I just wiped, repartitioned and reformatted the HDD!) :angry:

I mostly get responses in searches about it being a COM problem and pages that seem to apply for XP. :angry:

You get this issue:

//
// MessageId: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE
//
// MessageText:
//
// Server execution failed
//
#define CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE _HRESULT_TYPEDEF_(0x80080005L)

Reset Windows Update:

But why do I have to do this with a fresh install? Even Vista didn't have this bug!

It seriously looks like hotfix time! TBH, something's broken in Windows Update.

Not happy, because 7 SP0 didn't have any Windows Update failures! :realmad:

Guys, it looks like I have to apply fewer updates at a time and then run that.
