Windows 7 weird roaming profile

Hi, recently I have noticed something quite strange on my PC.

I have a roaming profile however I don't log in anywhere else.

when I log in to my office PC it all works fine, occasionaly I decided to clear out old files / icons etc...

anyway a few days later I will log in and all my old stuff that I cleared out re-appears?!!!

how weird...

The eventvwr application log is clear... execept for one error that says:

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

I don't think that's anything to do with it though...

the computer seems to run ok, profile loads in a reasonable time..

I have never seen this problem before, anybody else?

Is this a domain-joined machine, and do you log onto a domain with your account on that machine? It sounds as if you indeed have a roaming profile that is backed up (and restored, potentially) from a network share hosting your profile.
