Gremo
I need to remove the ability to uninstall Office 2010 SP1. Is there anyway to install officesuite2010sp1-kb2460049-x86-fullfile-en-us.exe using a switch like "nobackup" , "nouninstall" or something like this? Thanks... MagicAndre1981
delete the uninstall entry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete the corresponding MSI/MSP from the folder C:\Windows\Installer Edited June 30, 2011 by MagicAndre1981
Gremo
delete the uninstall entry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete the corresponding MSI/MSP from the folder C:\Windows\InstallerThanks, i'm going to try this in a virtual machine. It's a "safe" method? I mean if it's possible to apply future updates even if C:\Windows\Installer items are missing.
MagicAndre1981
I think the msp is only accessed if you remove the Sp1. Updates have their own msp file. Try it out in a VM and let me know the result. I haven't tried it.

I think because it's listed under "Updates" in control panel... but i can't find the reg key. Do you know where is it?
MagicAndre1981
Do you use a 64Bit Windows and the 32Bit Office 2010? In this case look in the registry under the Wow6432Node hive. 32bit apps are listed there.
