dubsdj Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) HiI have a really annoying problem that I can't seem to get my head around.I have a windows 7 PC which is on our network and it works just fine. I created an image of this PC and reimaged another PC (Same hardware, model)The annoying thing is that when I boot from cold I just get a black screen with a cursor... I have to hold the power button down until the PC goes off and switch on again and it then works and gets to the login screen.I just don't understand why this is happening.. it's exactly the same computer... I tried running a repair on it but same problem persists. Is it something to do with the imaging of the computer that is identical?I didn't sysprep it but I have a volume licence so didn't think that would really matter... I do this with XP pc's often.Anybody seen this problem and any fix for it?Also just to add that if I boot into safe mode it works every time. Edited May 9, 2011 by dubsdj
dubsdj Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Even though the driver was exactly the same as the one on the original image I decided to go to the Nvidia site and download a new driver.works now!Strange.
