AVG 2011 Start Minimized

Featured Replies

This is what I have so far.

/UILevel=silent /SelectedLanguage=1033 /LicenseKey=xxxxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx /DontRestart /DisableScan /KillProcessesIfNeeded /InstallSidebar=0 ParticipateProductImprovement=0 /InstallToolbar=0 /RemoveFeatures=fea_Emails__EMC,LinkScnFea,fea_SrchSrf__Search,fea_SrchSrf__Surf,EmailPluginsFea,fea_Emails__Outlook,fea_Office

Works good, but AVG pops up after installation, where I would prefer it to start minimized.

Is there a switch for that?

Thanks

edit: this is the free version

Hello nucleus,

Did you ever find a fix for this as i am now using AVG and find this part rather annoying.

am thinking of using pskill.exe to kill once installed as will run on next login.

[edit]

am currently using these switches and all is ok with install itself

got it working using this:

START /WAIT %CDROM%\apps\AVG\AVGFreeEdition_v10.0.1388.exe /AppMode=Setup /UILevel=silent /InstallToolbar=0 /DontRestart /InstallSidebar=0 /ChangeBrowserSearchProvider=0 /ParticipateProductImprovement=0 /SelectedLanguage=1033

START /WAIT %windir%\system32\pskill.exe -t avgui.exe

seems not possible to start hidden or minimized so i just kill it
