Phreddie Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Hi -Noob here. I'm trying to install Win Server 2003 Standard (non R2) onto a Dell Poweredge R510, slipstreaming the Perc H700 drivers onto the disk as I do not have access to a USB floppy drive and cannot add one to the server "the old fashioned way". Creating the disk seems to go fine but when running the install it crashes, after loading all the drivers, at the "Setup is starting Windows" point in setup. Originally I had been slipstreaming in both the H700 drivers and a Perc 200 instance as have a controller card installed for that and thought that could be the issue. I rebuilt the install with just the H700 driver and have the exact same problem.Has anyone else experienced this? I'm in a crunch and need to get this running ASAP so any suggestions at all would be very welcome!- Phred
csimmons03865 Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 sorry, a little late. posting because I ran into this for any one else.you'll need to slip stream the drivers and Windows 2003 SP2 to the Windows 2003 ISOIt's not having SP2 that is making the windows setup crash.
