How to run Vista 64bit unsigned drivers?

Hello.

I'm aware of the 'safe mode' work-around to installing unsigned drivers in Vista x64, but I was wondering if there would be some way to make the changes permanent?

This is for Vista Home Premium (64bit) with SP1 (build 6001).

Hi you can use this process....

-Disable User Account Control (UAC) and reboot;

-Go to Start and type cmd in the search box;

-Right-click on cmd.exe (should be at the top of the list) and select Run as administrator;

-In the newly created command prompt box, type the following (pressing enter after each line):

-Code:

bcdedit /set testsigning on

bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

Note: DDISABLE is NOT a typo!

Install the problematic driver and reboot;

Your driver should now load successfully and you may now enable UAC!

always double-check the source and verify the application publisher otherwise they can harm your pc
