HardDriv'n Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) Hello.I'm aware of the 'safe mode' work-around to installing unsigned drivers in Vista x64, but I was wondering if there would be some way to make the changes permanent? This is for Vista Home Premium (64bit) with SP1 (build 6001). pankaj Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Hi you can use this process....-Disable User Account Control (UAC) and reboot;-Go to Start and type cmd in the search box;-Right-click on cmd.exe (should be at the top of the list) and select Run as administrator;-In the newly created command prompt box, type the following (pressing enter after each line):-Code: bcdedit /set testsigning on bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKSNote: DDISABLE is NOT a typo! Install the problematic driver and reboot; Your driver should now load successfully and you may now enable UAC!always double-check the source and verify the application publisher otherwise they can harm your pc Edited November 14, 2010 by pankaj
