Therian Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Hello everyone firstly thanks for clicking my thread. I recently found this site and followed a guide here on the forum. Here is the link. its a great guide and Dead0 helped me out with a few errors that poped up using his batch files. The only issue I have is I want to save Aero and I am not sure what to do as I am a novice in this area. So I am curious does anyone have source material to where a id*** which is me could say search "Aero" and get a list of every file name/path so I could keep it?The only files I could find were in the 7x64.bat and those files are below.Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-aero.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_en-us_963b743473b55a81\*.* Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-aero_ss.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_en-us_99c539cdc67b85ca\*.* Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-themefile-aero_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_d5e81742635a7176\*.* Windows\winsxs\amd64_wpf-presentationframework.aero_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_8e78b13e22425483\*.* Windows\winsxs\msil_presentationframework.aero_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_191e6925d0ed44b0\*.* Windows\winsxs\x86_wpf-presentationframework.aero_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_325a15ba69e4e34d\*.*The files I used on my install were these.7x64.bat 7x64.ini (vlite)dism7x64addx64 The download link for his "guide/files" (his link)http://www.4shared.com/file/w-JmhJvS/guide35refresh.htmlI have asked him about it but sadly I think I might have over stayed my welcome with my past problems so I don't want to disturb him further. So could anyone put me in the right direction or perhaps tell me the files tied to Aero?My last question is how do you delete a hibernation file BEFORE install? Be default his guide disables it but it still makes a 1.7GB Hibernation file upon install. Is there no way around this and just need to manually delete each time? The only reason I care is going to go SSD soon so less unnecessary writes the better.Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to read this and thanks for anyone who tries to help.
Therian Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Problem solved albeit a strange issue to fix but thanks anyways.
