How to Open Files in Word 2003 In Date Modified Order

Hi,

I have a friend who has windows 7 and office 2003. He has asked if there is any way of setting the default order that files/word documents are opened to "date modified". This means that when he selects open when in word, a list of files and documents come up in alphabetical order.

I would point out that when I have checked, there are files then the word documents beneath it when open s selected.

My apologies if this has been covered, but I have searched and cannot find the answer?

Your help is gretly appreciated.

Thanks

Found a couple ppl with this solution: Head to File > Open, set the View to Details in the Browse box, click on the Date Modified column to sort it and then hold Ctrl button and click on the X to close the dialog box.
