George27 Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 (edited) I just noticed that the url suffixes are appearing when I drag them off of a browser. In XP Antispy there is a setting to turn this on and off. It is unresponive and the url shortcut properties no longer shows it as a shortcut. Any help is appreciated.I suspect this has to do with the uninstallation of IE9 preview, the problem is the prior restore points have been lost. I was concentrating on that there was something wrong with the reg value [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut]"NeverShowExt"[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\InternetShortcut]"NeverShowExt"Quite by accident I re-associated as the default browser to IE8 and the problem remedied itself.
