Hello firstly thanks for looking at my thread. Please note I am a bit of a novice here but slowly trying to learn how to do this properly.

I suppose my first question is a link to a FAQ explaining what Windows 7 services/files I should leave alone and those proven to be safe to remove just to avoid some of my issues I been having.

My problem however is this right here. This happens when I load the files from the ISO extraction of my Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

I downloaded the 1.7gb WALK and installed but not sure what the error code means exactly. Please note I have both 7customizer and Windows in C:\ and folders are 7customizer and seven no white spaces. Could anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction to fix this? Thank you and thanks for taking a look for me.

You must choose the correct path for Dism.exe:

%SystemDrive%\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\amd64\Servicing\Dism.exe

I see I believe I selected the proper and correct one...but I still receive a error sadly. I am correct on the other 2 right?

Could you attach your Dism.log please?

See inside %SystemDrive%\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

It seems you have an modded Windows 7 Ultimate with only one Image available, because the original one have 4 Images available!!

Doesn't sound good lets hope no issue on my end then. Well I tried to attach and it says "Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" so here is a coded version. FYI I removed the older (17th) from the file as it was info from the old version of the program if you want that posted let me know. Figured id save you some edit time this way.

You can try to delete "7Customizer_0.4.4" and expand a new time inside the partition C:\

Also you can delete the file "dism.log", a new one will be created!

When you use 7Customizer, some files are created and if you get errors you need to delete these old files inside the folder "7Customizer_0.4.4\work". If you don't know the files you must delete just delete the folder 7Custumizer_0.4.4 and install an other time 7Customizer (expand 7Customizer_0.4.4.rar)!

Ah I understand thanks for clarifying. This is a new folder (extracted from the rar) and I deleted the old dism log for fresh info on the error.

You have extracted the files from an ISO Windows 7 Ultimate!

Your Windows 7 is an valid version? And it's an x64?

When you select the Image with 7Customizer you see only one Image available?

Far as I know its a valid copy of Windows 7 x64 Ultimate...looks like the disc via google image searche and the key allows me to connect for updates and passed the validation tool. When I put the disc in it looks like this.

If I run the disc normally it will show the "install" option then try to install the OS. I did make a ISO version of the OS to edit with vlite but I just extracted from the disc and put it in the seven folder.

Well I call MS and the key is valid and my copy of Windows seem legal on their end which is a big relief for me.

I can't select a "image" my only option is to select the CD or extract the CD to a folder.
