i cannot change partition name

in windows 7 some partitions shows local disk and i cannot change partition name.but in disk managment and windows xp show real partiton name .my HDD is samsug 500g.

HI,Alirezash,I had the same problem but fixed already.Suggest u use the partition tools such as PQ and reinstall windows7.That's the most effective way!Enjoy,ZS from China.

Reinstall Windows to change a partition name??? That's crazy talk. To the OP, I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, however - are you saying you can't change it from explorer but you can from disk management, or...?

I think he's dual booting 7 and XP. In 7 they are named local disk. In XP they are fine.
