jolo Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I would like some help on a Windows network question that I have wondered about for a long time and would help me greatly. In my home, I have a couple of PCs connected to my Netgear WPN3500L router via Ethernet and a few connected via a Wireless adapter. My main Desktop PC, runs Vista Ultimate 64 and is connected to the router via an Ethernet connection.I have a custom Notebook PC, t hat is running Windows 7 Ultimate. I have many files that are set to be shared and that works. However, I want more control over my shared files. The question I have is that I want to increase as well as limit file/folder access to other network users depending on what PC/Device that are using. I want my Notebook PC, to have very liberal Read/Write access to files located on my Vista 64 desktop. At the same time limiting file/folder access to other network users, depending on which network PC they are using. Please help me with ways where I can control file/folder access on my private home network via which Networking PC (or even device), that is on my network ??This is my first post on this forum. Thanks in advance. Thanks so much,Jon Temple
